From a young age, I was able to connect with energies and the Spirit world. At the time I was not consciously aware of the mechanics of how this all worked, nor did I understand it, I just knew what I was experiencing to be true and normal. It was only later in life that the puzzle pieces of past memories and pivotal experiences would begin to fall into place, bringing my story into focus.

My earliest memory of my intuitive ability was when my little sister was brought home from the hospital. I was so excited to be a big brother. When I held her in my arms for the first time it was like I could feel everything she was feeling, a soul to soul connection was made. It was in the coming months that my mother noticed the unspoken communication we had; I knew when she was hungry, feeling unwell or needed a nappy change. A year later my great grandmother had fallen very ill and came to stay with us. Unfortunately, her condition worsened one evening, resulting in her getting rushed to hospital in an ambulance. I remember standing with my mom and dad at the window, telling them we must wave goodbye to granny because she’s going back home. The next day we were informed of her passing. I couldn’t understand why everyone was so upset because I could still feel her around us and knew that she was okay. However, I could also feel the sadness this brought to my family but did not yet comprehend the pain of a loved one passing into the Spirit World.

Life continued as it does and although not fully aware of what was happening, I kept the occasional glimpses of Spirit and Psychic experiences to myself. Spirit, as well as any intuitive impressions I received, seemed to only present themselves periodically. Thankfully, these glimpses occured when it was important, like when family or friends needed to be cautious about something or when our pets needed the vet. During my late teens, I found myself seeking truths; searching for more, looking for answers and yearning to discover more about intuition, the Spirit world and particularly myself. It was synchronistic at the time that my close friends and I discussed the unknown and unseen at length. It became a collective quest to expand our ways of thinking, furthering our knowledge and understanding of something bigger than us.

The catalyst for arriving at my true calling was when my best friend passed away. It was then that I truly experienced what my family had gone through all those years ago. After connecting with him and passing on messages for his family, the floodgates had opened, and Spirits came through by the dozens. It was then, that my journey as a Psychic Medium really started. At the time, it certainly didn’t feel like the start of something magical, I can tell you that much. Dealing with the passing of my friend, navigating through the self-sabotaging thought patterns and behaviours I had developed, coupled with random Spirits beckoning my attention was rather overwhelming.

I asked, and on this occasion very quickly received an answer. That week I was at a friend’s house and out of the blue, she asked for a reading. I honoured her request and was suddenly shown a different side of what I was experiencing. It was at that moment that I thanked Spirit for the opportunity as I felt a sense of happiness and helpfulness for the first time in a long while. Word spread and I started booking more readings and coordinating appointments between my classes, work and weekend arrangements.

I felt like I had purpose and was really enjoying what I was doing. Working at various Spiritual centres and churches doing private readings and demonstrations while I was working and completing my studies certainty kept me busy, which is exactly what I needed. I started to schedule readings in different areas of South Africa while I was on holiday which really ignited the travel bug.

Once I finished university, I finally had the opportunity to travel. In my heart of hearts, I knew this was what I needed. If it was meant to be it would happen – and it did. I opened my passport, and more importantly, my heart to a plethora of character-building experiences in pursuit of expanding my understanding of different spiritual practices, cultures and personal empowerment. Not only was I learning, I was healing. The more I healed the more I grew, and I was able to draw on learnt experiences to discover greater facets of my own potential as well as the connection, we all share, to Spirit and our higher selves. I later moved to London to further my knowledge of intuitive studies through well respected institutions and teachers in the spiritual field, to ensure the standard of my service to Spirit is constantly at the best it can be.

It’s been a long and hard journey thus far – requiring plenty of hard work and dedication – but a phenomenal adventure it has been. I am so incredibly blessed to be where I am now and feel like I have only scratched the surface.

Although the next chapter might be unscripted, my love for serving Spirit and helping others, continues to grow in wondrous ways. Obviously, there will always be some hiccups along the way, but that’s normal, as that’s what keeps us on our toes and more often than not reveals invisible blessings we might not have noticed before. The divine have a magical way of presenting opportunities for us to continually step forward into the highest version of ourselves. When partnered with Spirit and with love at your core, the possibilities are truly endless.

Trust in the love and whispers of heaven, even if it’s not what you want to hear or doesn’t arrive as fast as you want it. The divine has a plan for you and you are absolutely worthy of Spirit’s loving guidance.
